Kickin' Garden Pesto | Jalapeno Feta Recipe

If you are a pesto fan and can handle a bit of heat, this recipe is for you. Our garden has been good to us this year and we have an abundance of basil and peppers. This pesto recipe I created on a whim, and it had become a household staple. I hope you enjoy this easy pesto recipe! There are so many ways to add this pesto to your meals. I'll share a few of my favorites below.

Ingredients:
Basil (About 15-20 good sized leaves)
1 Medium-sized jalapeno pepper
4oz of Feta Cheese
1/2 Cup Avocado Oil
2 Cloves of garlic
1/4 cup of fresh lemon or lime juice
Salt/Pepper to taste

You'll want to slice the Jalapeno in half and remove the seeds. This will cut down the heat to more of a kick. If you prefer hot vs. medium, you can leave some seeds.
Simply add all the ingredients into a blender or food processor to blend until your heart is content.
Depending on your plans for the pesto, you can add more avocado oil & lemon or lime juice to make it into a thinner dressing for salad or marinading.
If you have any leftover store it in a mason jar in the fridge and consume within a week or so.

My favorite things to pair the pesto with:
Steak and Mashed Potatoes
Pasta or zucchini noodles
Salad
Baked Chicken or veggies
