Easy Crockpot Lime Chili Recipe

Easy Crockpot Lime Chili Recipe

What's better than yummy comfort food? Cozy (I would say cold but I live in FL and it's currently 70 degrees) winter months are upon us. Spice up your winter menu with this delicious & easy chili recipe!

Tools you'll need:

12 Minutes of time

Crock Pot

Frying Pan

Taste for something yummy

Ingredients you'll need:

Pack of ground sausage (you can also use chicken or beef but we like sausage the best)

2 cups of kidney beans

2 cups of diced tomatoes

1 cup lime juice

2 garlic cloves

1 onion

2 jars of sauce (I used an organic Italian sausage flavor)

Shredded cheese is optional

Let's Get Spicy (I use all these but I've also used a pre-packaged chili mix before as well)

1-2 teaspoons of chili powder

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon sea salt

How to:

Cook the ground sausage in frying pan until cooked (obviously). Dice onion & garlic up. If you use canned kidney beans I recommend straining and rising them. Dump all the ingredients into your nifty Crock Pot. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4. Enjoy with fresh lime juice on top, cheese & chips or by itself.

ENJOY!
